Help Make Our Families Impossible Dream Possible With Autism on the Seas!

Every day we live with the direct effects of autism. The challenges are great and require a constant devotion from each family member, with some days requiring more energy than others. Nicky who has autism, as well as my twin boys Eli and Noah who do not have an autism diagnosis but do have special needs have blessed us with so many wonderful moments but has changed the way we are able to approach events that others are able to do on a regular basis. Autism as well as developmental disabilities affect us as a family mentally, physically, emotional and financially. It is truly a daily struggle for us to even go out all together as a family let alone being blessed with an opportunity to do something as a family that we can all bond over and remember for years to come! We haven’t ever been able to have a true family vacation together and Nicky is now 13 years old. I know it is a personal dream of his to be able to not only feel included and accepted by the people around him other then our family but to be able to go and experience a vacation of a lifetime with no limitations for him or for my twins with special needs.

Autism on the Seas is a non-profit company that allows families like ours to experience a vacation that at one time we would have imagined to be impossible. They arrange specific special needs accommodations with the cruise lines and they provide professionally qualified staff to assist us with expedited port check-in, meal assistance, pool time supervision, beach excursions, respite (time for Nicky, Eli and Noah to be well cared for while the rest of the family can do other things), and many other perks and assistance. Autism on the Seas also provides pre-cruise professional consultation and valuable resources, including connecting with other families for support.
